Cameron Highlands

CAMERON HIGHLANDS

Cameron Highlands is the smallest district in the state of Pahang which is located in the north-western corner of the state. One of the wonders of Malaysia, it is the largest and most famous hill resort in the country. This highland paradise still retains much of the charm of an English village.
Being a primarily agricultural domain, you will find an abundance of vegetables and fruits farms here. Cameron Highlands is also the leading producer of flowers and tea in Malaysia. Be prepared for a lovely sight of extraordinary flowers you won’t see flourishing elsewhere in Malaysia! Located on the Titiwangsa Range at about 1500 metres above sea-level, the temperature here can drop to 16 ˚C or lower at certain times.
Cameron Highlands is made up of 4 main townships followed by smaller settlements at different elevations. The first town from the south is Ringlet, followed by Tanah Rata, Brinchang, Kea Farm, Tringkap, Kuala Terla and Kampung Raja.
Today, Cameron Highlands is the leading highland resort destination in the country, supporting a local population close to 50,000 people spread over eight interconnecting areas. Far from rural, the main townships of Tanah Rata and Brinchang are highly developed with a wide range of facilities and services. Hotels, resorts, apartments and shopping blocks tower over the landscape, providing accommodation and leisure activities for its many visitors. Ringlet, Tringkap, Bertam Valley, Kuala Terla and Kampung Raja make up the rest of Cameron Highlands
These smaller towns and villages concentrate heavily on agricultural activities, consequently retaining most, if not some, of their pastoral feel and countryside atmosphere. Traces of Cameron's colonial history still remain, but consist mostly of European stone mansions that have been converted into boutique hotels.

Genting Highlands

GENTING HIGHLANDS

A multi-million ringgit playground with over 40 rides, making it Malaysia's biggest theme park. There's so much of excitement and fun at Genting Highlands Indoor Theme Park and Outdoor Theme Park with loads of thrilling adventures for everyone.

Genting Highlands is a popular holiday destination in Pahang, perched high up on the peak of Gunung Ulu Kali at approximately 1,800 meters. Only an hour's drive away from Kuala Lumpur , Genting Highlands close distance makes it a convenient getaway from the hot and humid weather of Malaysia.

Colourful theme parks, resorts and attractions line the mountain peak, while vast surroundings of lush rainforest contrast starkly. Most visitors to Genting Highlands come from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Thailand and China. Other tourists make the journey to explore the theme park, farms and enjoy the view of Genting Highlands .

The fun never stops at Genting Highlands, City of Entertainment, perched on the top of cool, breezy Genting Highlands. One big attraction in Genting Highlands is the cool weather. Because of the 2,000m altitude, Malaysians like to visit just to enjoy the 'European' weather!

In the evening, there is spectacular entertainment at the Genting International Showroom or Pavilion, be it a thrilling magic show or an ice-skating extravaganza. There are also opportunities to go shopping at First World Plaza, visit the indoor and outdoor theme parks and feast on a wide range of delicious food at the many restaurants.

The Snow World features a log cabin, an igloo, toboggan slides and a snowy play area. It's cold in here, so remember to wear warm clothing. Children will surely love the Rainforest Splash Pool, although the air is chilly, the pool is filled with warm water.

Other attractions at Genting Highlands are Genting Sky Venture, the only free-fall skydiving simulator in Asia, and Genting X-pedition Wall, an international-standard rock-climbing wall stretching to 15 metres in height, with a 6-metre overhang. There is also bowling, a video arcade, a cineplex and many more fun rides.
