Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor, is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of millions of fireflies flashing in synchrony, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. 

It is one of the must visit place of interest (POI) in Malaysia. You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang” trees along the river.

Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing at lower levels until dawn.

Places of Interest :

Kota Melawati ( formerly known as “Fort Altingsburg”, the execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. A bird sanctuary park at the foot of Bukit Melawati is an ideal place for bird watchers to watch migratory birds. Also found are silvered – leaf monkeys, butterflies etc.)

4.30 p.m.         Depart from KL to Kuala Selangor

6 p.m.              Melawati Hill,where you can play with silver monkey.

7 p.m.              Boat ride to watch eagle feeding

7.30 p.m.         Boat ride to watch fireflies

8.30 p.m.         Return back to Kuala Lumpur

10 p.m.            Estimated time of arrival to Kuala Lumpur
